Ali Juma Senior Plastic and Cosmetic Surgeon in Liverpool

Mr Ali Juma leading Cosmetic and Plastic Surgeon from Liverpool appeared on the BBC Radio Lancashire show on Friday 26th March hosted by Sally Naden.

Also on the show were a Council member Dave Baldwin from Blackburn and Darwen who  has 3 sons in the army, all of who are all scheduled to go to war soon.  Also on the show with Mr Juma was a foster mum Diane Preston who has been titled “Caring Mum of the Year”.

Mr Juma talked about lifestyle in general along with cosmetic surgery issues and plastic surgery topics such as male breast reduction, breast reconstruction after cancer, skin cancer and sun damage which were highlighted during the show.

A subject which was raised in conversation was the influence of the media in relation to such shows as “Ten years younger” and the affect which they have on peoples perspectives to plastic and cosmetic surgery.  Mr Juma noted that on such sows the risks and complications of surgery are not explained, however these must be fully covered at any consultation prior to surgery being undertaken within his practice.

Sally Naden discussed that she had previously had breast reconstructive surgery and Mr Juma advised that a patient should research their prospective surgeon fully with the regulatory bodies (BAAPS and BAPRAS), also get to know the doctor and be comfortable to talk to them openly regarding surgery and expectations.

Mr Juma, Senior Plastic Surgeon practices cosmetic surgery in Liverpool, Wirral Merseyside and Chester Cheshire is featured regularly on the BBC Radio Merseyside and Lancashire.  He has been asked to attend again in 6 months time to discuss and advise further on the latest cosmetic surgery media issues.
